Problem Note 34957: "Custom variable not found" error might occur with PROC GEOCODE

DetailsAboutRate It

The following error might be received when using PROC GEOCODE to geocode addresses:

ERROR: Specified custom variable <variable-name> was not found in address
       data set <data-set-name>.

The problem is most likely to occur when a varible in the address data set has the same name as a default geocoding variable, such as CITY.

To circumvent the problem, rename the variable in the address data set.
